Adults are there for children spending time together.
Children are there for adults spending time together.
We set up a research theme on the furniture adults and children can use together.
The intention was not just to enable adults and children to use the furniture together, but to create new family time by interacting with each other through the furniture, even if only for a short time, and to find the richness of life there.
In this sense, the important points are the viewpoints on relationships as below.
How can children engage in the time when adults are using furniture?
How can adults engage in the time when children are using furniture?
What can be created as a result?
From this starting point, we tried to create something only furniture can deliver to time for family.
おとながこどもの時間に寄り添い、こどもがおとなの時間に寄り添う
おとなとこどもが使う家具 を 探究テーマに設定した。
その意図は、おとなとこどもがただ一緒に家具を使うことよりも、
例え短時間でも家具を通して互いが関わり合うことで家族の新しい時間が生まれ、
そこに暮らしの豊かさを見出せると考えたから。
その点で大切なポイントは、以下のような関わりについての視点だった。
おとなが家具を使っている時、どのようにすればその時間にこどもが関わることができるか？
こどもが家具を使っている時、どのようにすればその時間におとなが関わることができるか？
関わった結果、何が生まれるか？
これらを起点に、家族の時間に対して、家具だからこそできることを提供するために臨んだ。
