Design workshop for students at art schools who want to study in Japan
Busan - Daegu - Seoul, South Korea 2023
It has been a long time since I have held a workshop in Korea due to the Corona disaster.
We toured three cities, Busan, Daegu, and Seoul, to conduct workshops on creative thinking.
Although the workshop was arranged based on courses conducted at my university, I observed it with great interest as the outcomes differed from those of the Japanese students.
South Korea is one of the closest foreign countries to Japan. It is around an hour and a half away by plane.
Still, the language and culture are different, and differences in creativity emerge.
It is a precious time for me to think about the relationship between tools and people while observing such differences.
I am glad that the students seemed to have enjoyed the workshop. Thank you very much for this precious opportunity.
コロナ禍があったため、久々の韓国でのワークショップです。
プサン、テグ、ソウルの三都市を巡り、創造的な頭の使い方についてのワークショップを実施しました。
大学で実施している授業をベースにアレンジしたものですが、日本の学生とは違う答えが出て来るので、興味深く観察させて頂きました。
韓国は、日本にとって一番距離が近い外国の一つです。飛行機で1時間半ほどの距離です。
それでも言葉と文化が違いますから、創造性に差異が現れます。
そういった差異を具に拝見しながら道具と人との関係性について考える事は、私にとって大変貴重な探究の時間でもあります。
授業も、楽しんでもらえたようで良かったです。 貴重な機会を頂き、誠にありがとうございました。
